BlogHer 2012 in New York City!

Let's talk about New York City, shall we? What an amazing trip! Not only did I leave an city full of crazy energy, I left some amazing girls! I didn't think I would come from this trip with three forever-lasting, awesome-sauce, loving friendships! 

These girls were amazing and such a riot! I cannot wait for our next adventure together.

I met up with Melissa, and Allison at the Newark Airport we shared a cab Lincoln Navigator

 {yup, thats how we roll} 

and headed into New York City. NEVER have I seen so much traffic and ever been so scared of our driver's driving.. Actually he did a good job weaving through the crazy amount of cars.

Our days were filled with... 

Collecting swag, listening to amazing women bloggers,  filling our brains with great information and eating delicious lunches. 

We were able to hear from Martha Stewart

and Katie Couric (she seriously is such an inspiration)

Our nights out on the town...

Ended up at Carmines and shared some delicious Italian food. The waiter was hilarious. He definitely loved the fact that he was servicing some hot mama's. His laugh was hilarious! I wish I could remember his name.

The second night we headed into SoHo (don't ask me where that is I just followed the girls). 

Rode my first ever Subway! Yes, it pretty disgusting. Walking down the steps felt like we were entering hell..it was so hot and humid and stunk of piss. I refused to sit on the seats in the subway and used a ton of hand sanitizer when I got off. Glad I don't have to use that for my transportation every day! 

We found an amazing Pizza Place, Lambardi's, and shared some pizza. THE BEST PIZZA I have EVER tasted! 

One of our nights we headed to a wine tasting at City Winery. Rushelle let me taste hers since I couldn't have a glass myself. They were pretty tasty!

At the end of the wine tasting we met with an amazing foundation and spent a few hours learning how we can help the children in America. More on this in another post. I'm so excited to share more information with you. Ray is the CEO/Founder of the company. We left with a special bottle of  his wine, called Ray Cab Bob.

The last night was spent dancing at the CheesburgHer Party. Yep this big ol' pregnant mama got down. It was so much fun! 

This was my last night and around 2am I had to head back to our room so that I could shower and get ready to head to the airport. My shuttle was picking me up at 3:25am. YEP GROSS! I was exhausted and my feet were so swollen from the busy weekend all I wanted to do was sleep. 

My weekend was fabulous! I came home with motivation and a bigger heart.
