Winter Blues

The sun goes to bed early leaving me in darkness. The mornings are crisp and dreary. The day only lasts a few hours, leaving me feeling unaccomplished. I find myself staying inside in cozy clothes not wanting to do anything at all. My daily to-do list has gotten so long that I feel as if I’ll never check everything off. I find myself getting frustrated and angry more easily. Yep you guessed it… I have the WINTER BLUES.

Do any of you get the winter blues? What are things that help you get through it? I’d love any advice.

The Christmas spirit has helped. Helped keep me cheery not really helped with me getting anything done. My blog has definitely gone to the sideline and to be honest I am okay with that for now. I miss catching up with everyone else though. I miss all of my bloggy friends. I hope they are all doing fantastic and haven’t caught the “winter blues”.

Well. I think the best thing for me right now is to take one item off of my list, so that it doesn’t add to my frustrations.

I have made the decision to take a break from the blog until after our Christmas Vacation. I have lots planned for this next year. I am so excited to share all of it with you.

I hope all of you have a WONDERFUL MERRY CHRISTMAS and a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!

God Bless.

Well hello there Stranger.

Have you missed me? I have missed you guys SO much. Its been crazy at the brown house. Way too much going on that my lovely Lola Mac has been put aside. But I am so very happy to be back. You don't even know. I haven't even told you all how my Thanksgiving was. Being the host and all. Well it was FANTASTIC!

Family. wow! I don't think there are words to explain how much I love my family. My in-laws are SOOO amazing! I couldn't have married into a better family. Like I said earlier, we hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year. I was SO NERVOUS! Would there be enough room? Would everyone feel comfortable. Is my house "cute" enough? I was driving my husband crazy with all the "what-ifs" He kept reminding me that none of those things mattered. AND well they didn't! Every one made them selves at home and we had a great time.

Most of the family was able to make it this year. We thought we were going to be missing my sister-in-law and her husband but we had a special surprise. The day before Thanksgiving, a few hours before everyone else was arriving, the doorbell rang. Covered in flour (i was making pies) I answered the door to find Liz and her husband with huge smiles on their faces.. SURPRISE!! Totally best surprise ever. We were only missing one person and that was my father-in-law. We missed him lots!

It was so good having everyone there! We played tons of games drank lots of beer and just had a blast enjoying each other's company!! Lexi had her two cousins to play with. It was GREAT!

I have a ton of fun pictures but I'll just share this one.

We had to get a pic of all of us together!

I definitely think this should be a Thanksgiving tradition we do each year! IT was so much fun. I was sad to see them leave. Happy to get my house back in order but sad the party was over.

Hope all of your Thanksgiving Day was just as awesome!

So Glad to be back.
