I would love to introduce you to....

Polly

She's missing her Belly here.. and she's my VERY first..so don't judge too harshly...

Yes...I know... I look so tired.. I AM.  See the necklace?{i made it}

About Polly... She's a monster but not like the monsters that hide in dark places and try and scare you. She's very friendly. Her favorite colors are PINK, yellow and blue. She loves to swing and loves to sing and occasionally dance. She cuddles and wants to be taken everywhere. She is absolutely adored by her new owner Lexi Rae.
{new}Best Buddies♥

Polly is the first of MANY to come. She is original.. designed and hand-sewn by me. With the help of  my "Martha's pick" sewing machine.{wink}
Because Polly is my VERY first she still has a few quirks {i won't point out my mistakes..her arms, legs, ears..lol } that will be fixed for the future monsters. Each monster I've designed on paper first. Each will have their very own name and personality. Each will come with a Journal. { I'll have more information about the journal in a later post.. I don't want to get too ahead of myself.  } I would like to have my Etsy shop going by mid-September and in that Etsy shop you will be able to meet and if you would like... Adopt a {Monster&Me}. (more about this in a later post)
I look forward to introducing you to Max, who is next on the list. I am so excited to move him from paper and into my hands. He will be my first boy Monster. He is a bit of a punk. His favorite colors are black & red. He loves to skateboard. He thinks he's tough but the truth is.. he's a softy. ;)

About my Etsy.. I am excited to say I almost have all of my supplies to get going with my jewelry pieces. I have a few pieces already done but I want to have at least 10 to get the shop going. I hope you all stay tuned. I am pretty excited about it. but SCARED at the same time!

Another Great Sunday at: Southside Christian Church

 For many years I have struggled back and forth through religion. It was hard. I am not a religious person. I don't really like religion to be honest. It seems that so many are so focused on the appearance of how you should look, how you should act. . . "This is is truth and the only truth". I felt that a lot of times it was all about the politics, a social status, who has this and who has that. I felt overwhelmed at trying to be perfect, always comparing ME to everybody else. This did not work for me. I am an individual and if you know me I am a very free-spirited individual. I have my own thoughts, my own ideas about life. I'm not a disagreeable person... I like you just the way you are and I ask for the same in return. Although, I am not religious. . . I am spiritual. I have a very good relationship with God. There are moments I get lost in the haze, living in this fast-paced life, but all in all I know He is there for me and that He listens to me. He has a plan for me. A path to be followed..unique to only me. He has a path for each of you. We all have our own journey to follow, our very own passions & talents. But, He has a similar plan for each and every one of us, a plan to return to him. He sent his Son to die for us. And through his son Jesus Christ, will we be able to return and live with him once again.

In this post, I talked about a place for me to get that weekly reminder of God's love and his plan. Southside Christian Church is so perfectly the place for me. The live band and the songs sung with praise, are amazing. The people who are there not for the "appearance" they are there for THEM. I am there for ME. The message always triggers the "ah ha" button, which resides in my mind and heart.

The message yesterday was about being prepared... prepared for when He comes again. Today, there are so many people who claim to know specific details of the last day. We tend to get so focused on how it is going to happen, when it is going to happen, if it is going to happen.

"However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father Knows." --Matthew 24:36

It isn't about if, how, or when. It is about being prepared.   This world is filled with self-absorption. People are engrossed with materialistic things, they forget about the simple joys that come from the small things. Things that cannot be touched or bought. They are always searching for fulfillment in life. Life will not be fulfilled until you look past the materials. Find a way to live your life filled with love, peace, and charity. By knowing your God and living your life filled with his love & mercy you are preparing yourself to reunite with Him once again.

Some small but HUGE joys from my life over the past few months.

Blessed to be surrounded by such love & beauty!

Surya Namaskar .aka. Sun Salutation

Some days I can't get to the gym. Well okay that is a lie. I could go in the evening and just drop Lexi off at the daycare but I enjoy my evenings at home or going for a walk to the park and taking Emma. So truth is I choose not to go to the gym in the evenings. I know I need to make a better habit at attending the gym more... but it's so easy to skip. Especially during the summer time.  Instead of going to the gym, I do Yoga at home. It is super easy and I do it just when I wake up. I take my awesome yoga mat, head out to my deck, enjoy the morning crispness, and move through a very easy.. and fun.. Sun Salutation. I love the way it makes me feel afterwards. It helps me start my day with a positive, awesome attitude!

Yoga, not only feels good but it's SO good for you!
If you want more information and some videos that will help even more... I found an awesome website HERE for you guys to check out. Not only does it have awesome videos but, it explains the moves in more depth, with details about each pose. She talks about how each pose is healthy for your body. Mentally, Physically, and Emotionally.  I loved it!

Make sure you remember to breath through each pose. Focus on your breathing and what your body is telling you. It knows best!
